Well where do we start …
- No air conditioning instead we have to put up with heating or have the door open which attracted the bugs to come in then woke up with insect bites.
- No hot running water for 8 hours instead told by reception to take a “cold” shower
- Unclean sheets due to friend spilling a cup of tea. Came back to the hotel to find the bed had been made by the chamber maid but ignored the fact it was unclean and it wasn’t till we pulled back the sheets to find she ignored it and made it with the dirty sheets.(Anyone with a slight common sense would put fresh sheets on)

Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, the hotel and the pool were spotlessly clean (you could see that there had been small odd bits of previous damage in the room but as it’s a young party style resort it was understandable and didn’t bother us at all; as it was still very clean). Although the Hotel generally hosts a young clientele, as a couple in their late 40s, we felt totally welcome by staff and guests. We would absolutely return!

When booking this hotel I loved the vibe it gave and it did not disappoint,we had a tough time to start with before we got to the hotel but Antonio took out cases from us as we got up the stairs and took us straight to reception.Antonio was a highlight of our stay he was such a great guy and we was constantly laughing with him.This trip was about 2 mom's having a break and a good time and it was everything we needed it to be.Yes the hill is a killer but it also become a funny thing to go through haha!The room was lovely we stayed in 305 ,view was lovely.The staff was super friendly and hotel was lovely and clean,booking to go again next year but with a bunch of us! A

De nuevo, por 4 años consecutivo! Hemos vuelto a Sotavento gracias a la oferta de Groupon, y otro año, solo tenemos palabras de agradecimiento para el lugar, el servicio, el cual es cercano y muy profesional, y sobretodo y no menos importante, para el jefe de Bar, Antonio, con el cual Sotavento tiene la gran suerte de contar, y da un plus en todo, una persona y profesional 10, con el que siempre disfrutamos de estar y sabemos que con él, Sotavento no sería lo mismo. Hasta el próximo año!!!

The hotel was overall gorgeous, the rooms were lovely and the pool area was perfection. We were able to check in early which was a massive plus as we got there at 11am. It was fairly easy to get sunbeds at around 10-11, the pool got a lot busier around 1-2, such a lovely vibe although this would’ve been a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the female life guard, she was unbearably rude to everyone, everytime i heard her speaking to someone she was being nasty and she made rude comments to me and my friends on a few occasions and it just made the lovely pool feel a bit less relaxing, many people had issues with her and it was never about any safety concerns. Apart from her most of the staff were lovely or pleasant, the rooms don’t get cleaned just toilet roll and towels every two days. The on site supermarket aswell didn’t have many options for proper food but we found a spar down the road that did the job, overall a lovely stay, I would highly recommend.

I was researching a pool type party to attend for my sister's hen party, there were 17 of us and all mixed ages raging from 18-65, I didn't want it to be full on and just wanted somewhere chilled where we could spend the day together. After lots of research I found this amazing place. I emailed them to get more details and a fantastic lady called Sonia could not be any more helpful. We paid £20 each, this includes a fruit skewer, half a bottle of cava each and full access to the pool and the most amazing jacuzzi (where we spent most of our time) Sonia also offered us the most amazing area where there were 7 day beds fitting 2/3 people on set away from everyone else, this made the day more private when we just wanted to chill out. As soon as we got there we were greeted by the most amazing waiter Antonio who made us feel very welcome and started our day off with a round of shots. We also had food half way through the day, the restaurant set up a lovely table for us and the food and service was 10/10. All the staff were great even the lifeguard joined in with some of our crazy hen party games. This was our best day of the whole 5 days and still cannot believe what we got for that amazing price. We were very merry after half a bottle of cava, shots and the wild jacuzzi antics. Thank you for making this day so special, Sonia and the team you are all brilliant... Please if anyone sees this and you are on a hen party/birthday bash get it booked.

This hotel has a cockroach issue and I have video evidence. Some staff are also rude and unhelpful, especially the manager. Facilities are good until you have to check out, then this place becomes unbearable. Restraunt also had terrible service and were adherent to allergies, disregarding them and still serving food containing egg which one traveller was allergic to.
